Announcements:
I will be updating this weekly so that you can see what is going on in our classroom.
Icee day is Wednesday! Our popcorn day is on Friday! The cost is 50 cents.
Money MUST be sent in a Ziploc type bag or a sealed envelope with your child’s name, my name, and the purpose written on it or on a card/ sheet of paper inside. Also, I cannot accept money throughout the day. It must be placed in the homework folder so I can account for it first thing.
Looking Ahead:
December 24- January 4: Winter Break
What we are learning:
Reading: letter and sound recognition, classifying and categorizing, rhyming, reading realistic fiction, print directionality, making predictions, monitoring and clarifying predictions, using context clues.
Language Arts: Rhyming words, spelling CVC words, and the letter U
Writing: Sentence writing using phonetic spelling. Understanding that sentences begin with capital letters and end with punctuation marks.
Handwriting: name & letter writing
Math: Shapes
Science: Sight
Social Studies: Hanukkah - Celebrating Our Differences
